Over the years my skin didn't get much love. I never even washed it with soap because I was so scared to get a blemish. I've recently dove into the world of makeup and become very into it, kind of obsessed. All the beauty gurus say to splurge on the skin care, that it's very important in making your make up look the best. I've tried out a few different things so far but this is what I'm using now.
When I wake up I use Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer. This stuff smells so good and awakening. It immediately makes my skin feel cool and depuffs. It uses ginseng and coffee bean to aid with hydration.
At night, I generally use Urban Decay Makeup Meltdown with some Shisedo Cotton Pads and it takes off the most waterproof of makeup with ease. It tends to a greasy feel even though it is oil free so after, I cleanse my face at night with Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward, it is gentle enough to use every day without drying out my skin. If I'm feeling extra lazy I just use Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes and their Eye Make Up Remover Pads. These leave no residue so I don't feel the need to rinse my face after, which is awesome!
After washing my face at night I like to use BareMinerals Smart Combination Smoothing Emulsion to add back in some of the moisture taken out with the cleanser. At first, I thought the smell of this emulsion was kind of weird, but now I really like it. It sinks into the skin so easily and makes your face feel hydrated. After that I use Aveda's Tulasāra Wedding Masque Eye Overnight. This stuff has helped my under eyes become much brighter. It has a hefty price tag for such a small product but I really like it! When I got the No7 Fanominal Lash Serum I was pretty skeptical of it working since it's only $10. I really feel like I see a difference in the thickness of my lashes though! The length has only improved slightly but I'm fairly sure it takes a while for that to improve drastically. Over all, I totally think it's worth the $10.
By this time all my prior moisturizing has soaked in and the final touch before bed is the BareMinerals Bare Haven Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream. This just gives me the extra moisture I need over night so my skin isn't a desert in the morning.
If you have dry skin these things might help in your routine, I hope they do!
